HARMONISE at CEN Workshop 64 PG1 meeting in Saint-Denis, FR

Following the presentation given at the meeting of Phase 4 of the CEN Workshop 64 “Design and manufacturing codes for GEN II to GEN IV nuclear facilities” held on 29 June 2023, the HARMONISE project was presented to the experts in small groups.

CEN Workshop 64 is made up of four Prospective Groups (PGs), each working on a specific theme and L. Allais presented the HARMONISE project during the first meeting of PG1 Mechanics Gen II to III reactors” on 19 September 2023 at the headquarters of the AFNOR group in Saint-Denis, France. The meeting was organised by the “Bureau de normalisation d’équipements nucléaires” (French Bureau of Nuclear Standardization) which provides the secretariat for this PG.

The aim of the presentation was to create a link between the HARMONISE project and the PGs of CEN Workshop 64. To this end, particular attention has been paid to the Work Package 4 activities of the HARMONISE project that are focused on codes and standards. The mapping of coding requirements for innovative reactors has yet to be covered and the HARMONISE Work Package 4 outcomes are expected to feed into the work of the PGs.
